Well, i am aware of the lack of updates. and i appologize to the people who actually read this, which sad to say is no one. so i guess i'll revoke my appology, and get onto writing something.

   Well, the EP is coming along... nicely i guess. 7 tracks, 5 of which we are very proud of, the other 2 we just threw in there cause we worked on them, and were going to revise them and make them a little more relevant, and a little more moody as time progresses. well were working on this new track, "blinded", and we start going overboard on sampling, and layering in different instuments, to give it a more diverse sound.  Then some one, i think it was angelo said that you'll never be able to pull it off in a live gig, which is essentially true.  i mean there is an alrernate version that is playable live, but why use that version when the one were working on is so much better?

    i mean music, like most other things pretaining to creating something, can be concidered an art, so what would someone preffer? us holding back on creativity, so we can pull it off live, or us going wild with ideas, and produce something artistic, and unique.  im all for the artistic side of it. i mean what would you prefer, hearing something relatively good live and on a cd, or hearing an amazing song, but  not being able to hear it exactly the same as on the cd when you come to watch us live? the question is posed to you, the decision goes to me. im not in this for you, im in this for me. to create something to leave behind when i leave this "dream" behind.  This is my little dent on music in general, i'd like to leave a dent i can be proud to call my own, as would anybody.  in summary, gigs come and go, a song lives on as long as someone remembers it. 

ohh, and by the way. cueshe suck so much fucking dick, and if i ever see those cum gargling fagots in cebu i swear to god i will beat them to a bloody pulp with the buisness end of my dick.  a little (a lot actually) of tangent, but still very relivant.

Well, we arent dead yet. sorry. But the band as we once knew it is. Gone are the days of slacking around and never jamming and expecting everything to come naturally. here are the days of 2 hour jam sessions trying to get ready for recording.  Well october 15, is the scheduled release date for the ep name is currently undecided. but the tracks included are as follows.  Anonymous, adonis, mother and  child, rape of innocence, and blinded.  so that makes 5 songs in the bank. and another 7 to complete the album, that should be out possibly feb, or march. well on other news we had line up changes again, well jan left the band, and sjong has been replaced for the time being due to conflicting scheds. well hopefully everything will sort its self out.

            Well, i went to the greyhoundz concert last saturday. and well what can i say... i think the title kind of gave it away. in all honesty, it was a poorly planned affair, that didnt take into mind the audience at all. when you start the show an hour late, then decide to have the sunstar mascot dance like a retard then throw out posters for aviva footwear, you know that they really had the wrong idea of the crowd. they didnt come to get pictures of some dumb basketball team, or to see the sunstar mascot dance. but thats just one thing. and thats organizing.

well... in an effort of well putting more content up i've decided to keep some lyrics up here. or well words to songs that dont exist yet. but yeah. heres something i wrote over lunch.

         Its always the same shit to me, judging from an outsiders prespective, and taking catholics as my subject. it seems like the same shit, this fucking numbing of their minds, this whole moral lesson that seems to fly over their heads. Eat a peice of bread to be closer to god, kneel down, say a few preformulated words, confide in a child molestor, and your free from sin, and have a ticket to heaven. but 20 seconds after this holy experience, they go back to the same thing.  im saying this because im in the computer lab at my school, watching the hypocrites, liars, spoiled brats, cheats and assholes go there taking communion. and i wonder, does god exist? if he does, why are these assholes still alive? what compels them really? they go up there, the feel like their better than everybody else, and thats it. its amusing to me, and at the same time gives me this numb feeling in the bottom of my stomach. these people are so fucking dense. they dont deserve attention, let alone redemption. maybe thats it. maybe the world would be a better place without religion. i mean someone did say, that one true way to corrupt your child is to teach him to hold people with a differing opinion than himself, at a lesser reguard. and thats what it does. creates divisions. Well maybe just dont scrap religion all together just tell them that redemption, absolution, and salvation doesnt come in a peice of bread. tell them it takes years of concideration, years of thoughtfullness. and an actual reguard for other people. but thats just me. and thats why im an aetheist.

   ok, this entry may need some foreshadowing, so i'll start with that. 2 days ago the school i go to had an election for student council, and well lets just say it wasnt much in terms of choice for representatives to best identify with in terms of opinion. well lets just keep this in prespectives of one person, who i'll leave anonymous for well the sake of anonymity. Well she had the preception that she was going to win, but well the masses spoke and the oponent won, to which she obviously a spoiled brat as easy as could be seen after this next two sentences. Firstly responded to the results for serious calls for a recount of the votes, to which the request is denied for obvious reasons that it was monitored all the way through and a recount would just be a waste of time and a mess. to which she next reacts with crying and hitting one of her friends who didnt vote cause she wasnt at school, then after that she proceeds to head upto the schools owners place, and starts crying to her. so now, just when you think the dust has settled, here comes to main topic.

         The whatever the hell her title is decided to create the Honor council, with ironically the person who lost in the election as head of it, and her friends. the ones who couldnt run, or wouldnt have won. So by doing that essentially undermining the students voices. so now the mickey mouse club is formed, filled with rich chinese spoiled brats.  what a valuble life lesson that is isnt it? i mean its college your supposed to be learning about real life right? so in real life this really happens doesnt it. You loose a position, you go crying to your friends and they make it all better, and trample on everyone else. No it doesnt fucking happen.  you get the "ohh thats too bad!" speech, nothing more, possibly less. You didnt win the election, you arent deemed worthy to be representative of the student body, by means of an election. 

      So what authority do you have to represent the student body? what does this say about the managment? really??? Heres what its done in my opinion. Firstly, its made a mockery of the whole election process... essentially voidind the voice of the student population. Nextly, its appointed an Supposed organization representative to the student body, that had no say by anybody in the student body, only representative to the minority of the student population. Finally, its made a sjoke of the school and everybody involved or employed here. so there they are. the outcomes of a fucking unmandated Junta put together to represent the minority. Fucking bullshit! total and utter bullshit!

         Is it just me or did anyone else notice how bizzare all this shit in the country is beggining to get. I mean ok, i'll admit that the president possibly, if not definately won the election by fraudulent means, but my point is, the opposition used those same means to try and win the election, why be the odd one out and risk the chance of loosing by not following suit? well it isnt exactly my cup of tea, but i think its always best to have a even playing field, even if that field is littered with bribes, dishonesty, manipulations, and innapropriate behavior. This isnt an ideal world after all... so why not use all the means the opponents are using? Plus its sort of sickening the way the opposition has jumped on it, the same hypocrites, not yet bought into light, are now there expecting to gain the rewards of her being caught. Well the term "honor among theives" no longer rings true, apparently, or polititians are lower then theives. actually, thats possibly a correct assumption. But then again, when choosing in an election its always about picking the lesser evil, or it should be. however that doesnt seem to be the case in this country, it always seems to be about popularity, rather than competency, headshots rather than acomplishments, and charisma over litteracy. i mean in all honesty, the election well 2 years back or was it a year was a fucking fiasco in anyones eyes. lets run through the candidates. Illiterate actor, who possibly cant even spell president, right wing bigot evengelist, midget intelectual, and a chinese guy.  wow what a rich field to pick from. Came down to the midget, and the illiterate. to which the illiterate refused to have a debate, and seemingly no one caught on to the reasons besides a few. Well he's dead now, and i dont mean any disrespect when i say, thank god the illiterate pea brained fuck is dead, and i hope he's burning in hell with satans dick up his ass. ok, maybe i wished him a little bit of disrespect. but just a little. But coming back to the point, now his wife is contesting the fucking results? to what fucking end? are you going to exhume him and put his fucking corpse in office, well in all honesty, i think the country would run a lot better with a cadaver of fpj in charge, rather than the fpj himself, but thats my opinion really, and quite possibly biased. 

      But lets run over what would happen to the country in terms of if the biggest contender won... Firstly have you ever watched the news and the philippines is featured, and its always some guy who is in office that cant speak a single word of english at all, but still seems to insist on speaking english anyways, well thats a lower ranked official, but imagine if thats the president speaking. People will be laughing, and laughing really fucking hard. Nextly, what is that image going to do for the fucking investors who want to come and put up factories or what have you here, you think theyre going to be particularly comfortable with a person who has the IQ of a door knob running the country? i Seriously fucking doubt it. So, preception, and economy are going to go downhill. Nextly we have the issue, that ever burning issue of corruption, and well i'm not saying the current president doesnt have her hand in the cookie jar, im just saying that she possibly takes just one or 2 cookies at a time, unlike that fat fuck, who would possibly be smashing open cookie jar left and right, and breaking into nabisco at night to steal an entire months worth of chips ahoy. Then the rest of the country will follow suit. next thing you know, your bribing cops to get away with murder, your bribing immigration for a visa, your bribing the schools for better grades, and your bribing the tax man to look the other way. then what? you've got a fucking deficit... and a sizable one at that, when compared to the gdp for the country. so what are you going to do? make it worse? fall further into debt? bleed it dry? not a good idea.

         But then the watchdog for public affairs is just a fucking puppet isnt it? i'll answer the question for you... Yes it fucking is. Run by people in politics, nearly every media outlet. so much so that i cant even get the news anymore without sifting through about 2 hours of the fucking impeachment crap. And its always the same shit, appeal to the fucking ignorant, illitarate masses, so fucking numb from religion, and lies. Show the rally with 75K people in it, that are against her, then not show the rally with 150K people that are for her. sort of a bit subjective dont you think? i thought there were always two sides to every story, and being as the news is supposed to be objective i would have thought that they would cover both stories, but no, i have to read it in another newspaper. and well its sort of ironic really. No one really seems to notice, no one seems to care.

   Then here comes my ultimate fave, The religious community decides to get involved, and try to claim the moral highground. Look, What should your fucking opinion matter? who gave you the right to fucking judge or critisize. you are all a bunch of fucking hypocrites, claiming charity, while lining your own pockets with the money you guilt people out of week after week, when those people need it a lot more than you. I see nuns riding around in taxi's now, and i wonder whats so special about them that they need to take a taxi, arent there fucking jeeps? Well back on track... why are they giving their opinion? what is this? im pretty sure there was something in the bible that said something about not judging other people... But the sad thing is people listen, they think the church has the moral highground. god, its sad. the church, the roman catholic church, some 50 something billion in funds, countless more in property and artifacts, is going to claim moral high ground, the people responsible for 50 if not more million deaths throughout the years is going to tell me whats right when breaking their own comandments they supposedly live by. Proof of the 50 million, See Spanish inquisition, burning of heretics and etc, plus the on going child abuse. dont get me fucking started. sit down and numb the masses somemore. The only reason the church says anything is because of political ambition, or because they wont have as much money for luxuries as before.

Some people just dont get it, and i swear to god it gets under my skin like a splinter at times. Now we move on to specifics. Me, im a bleeding heart idealist, you know that annoying type that wont compromise principle just because its more convenient, and going deeper into the topic, im an idealist when it comes to local indie music, and most of the people who i know in the local indie "scene" i would call collegues, if not friends. This fact i dont really hide, and occasionally i will go on a rant about how fucking utterly stupid certain people are, mainly the general populus, the cows that seem to graze on what ever mtv or myx feeds them, only liking something when its packaged in pretty wrapping called hype, then as soon as the respective artist has had his 15 mins. of fame thats it its all over and deny any affiliation with it what so ever. so imagine my surprise when a friend asked me if he could sort of burn a copy of sheila and the insects's manipulator album, now lets disect that statment for all the people who just dont get it. I know the band, and i've read what they've went through, and i'd say on a certain level im friends with atleast jeros and ian, and on top of that i admire them as a band and individuals for what they've done and what they've given in terms of music. and i hear them once in a while comment on how its near fucking imposible to do what they do, or anyone like them to do what they do without a certain degree of sacrifice in terms of time and money. Now this person, lets just say he isnt exacly begging for money on the streets, in fact he's far from it. So to me that seems like this "hey dude, can you go beat the living shit out of your friends and take their watches, cause well im too lazy to go to the mall and buy one for myself, and while your at it, please throw away everything you beleive in cause it doesnt really matter to me. " now i ask you, would you steal money from your friends who arent exactly rolling in it, to give to a friend who pretty much is rolling in it per say? Dont worry it was more of a rhetorical question, the answer im sure is no, and if you say you would your a fucking liar, or at best a pittiful example of a humanbeing. But then again, life isnt exactly that simple, say for instance, i burn him a copy of this album, then he goes out and buys flowerfish in september, or goes and buys plastic eyes static minds. So would the ends justify the means? thats the moral dillemna on my part, do i steal money of my friends, go to the casino with it and place it all on a game of blackjack, with the possibility of doubling up, then sending the said friend the winnings in an anonymous envelope? or do i just leave it be and tell him to go buy the damn cd based on principle alone? 

well, this is officially the first entry on the new torchtheskies.blogdrive.com im aware that the layout needs a bit of tweeking as of now, and possibly it would be nice to actually format the html myself, but i dont have time. well actually i do, its just that id rather just sit in my room in a semi catatonic state rather than do anything that requires any effort. well thats essentially it. well dont worry, eventually shit will get on track, and well maybe we'll eventually have a band pic, but i highly doubt that in the mean time, being as right now the line up is well tentative to say the least. and well yeah. well who cares right, its all about music rather than this whole shimmering illusion of fame. but more on that next time, i dont have the utter lack of sense to mix entries. so well in summary, welcome to out little thought center. and if you are here you probably are here by mistake. but yeah... welcome anyways feel free to pick apart me and my friends thoughts like vultures trying to survive.
